The New Mexico Landscape - In Color!

Many of you enjoyed my earlier black and white shots of the New Mexico landscape...well it's even more beautiful in living color! Many of these were taken along the famous Turquoise Trail. I hope you enjoy these - I'd love to know which one is your favorite. :)

The Astoria-Megler Bridge

With the fog rolling in - I was able to get some wonderful captures of this magnificent bridge!

The Astoria-Megler Bridge, which was formally dedicated August 27, 1966, stretches 4.1 miles from Astoria, Oregon, across the mouth of the Columbia River, to Point Ellice, Washington. Its construction was an impressive feat. The bridge’s main span is 1,232 feet in length, the longest “continuous truss” in North America.

Red Chevy Truck

These are two different versions of a classic red Chevrolet truck photo that I took in Cannon Beach last weekend. Tell me which version you like, I'd love to hear from you!

If you look really close, you can see me in the reflection on the bumper! :)

Celebrating Freedom - Surreal Fireworks!

I took this 2 years ago...I loved how the ground lit up and took on an almost surreal look, like a painting!

For those photographers out there - just a note about shooting fireworks...if you have this function on your camera, turn on "Noise Reduction". It's used to eliminate noise in the dark areas of long exposures. I've had a lot of success using that feature. The one drawback using this function, as in this case, was that I had to wait 10 seconds for the function to eliminate any noise before I shot another photo...but I think the wait was worth it!
